Our Commitment
Trust & Safety
ZamoRent's anti-fraud commitment is the foundation of everything we build. Here is exactly what we do and what we promise.
Every Landlord is Identity-Verified
Landlords cannot list a property until they have completed identity verification. This includes uploading a valid government-issued ID (NRC or passport), a live selfie, and passing our automated NRC confidence check. All documents are reviewed manually by the ZamoRent team before the account is approved. A landlord with a verified badge has had their identity confirmed.
Every Property is Verified Before Going Live
Properties go through several automated checks when submitted: a minimum of 3 photos, complete pricing and location details, and confirmation the landlord's identity has been verified. High-confidence listings from trusted, verified landlords with a good track record can go live instantly. Others are reviewed manually by our team, usually within 24 hours. Properties that fail checks are rejected and the landlord is notified with a clear reason.
Payment Protection on Every Transaction
When you pay your advance through ZamoRent, the money is held securely — the landlord cannot access it. After you visit the property and receive the keys, you have 24 hours to confirm everything is fine from your dashboard. If something is wrong, raise a dispute and your funds stay held while ZamoRent investigates. If no action is taken within 24 hours, funds are automatically released to the landlord.
Tenant Identity Verification
Tenants can voluntarily verify their identity by uploading a valid government-issued photo ID (NRC or passport) and a live selfie from their dashboard. Verified tenants get their viewing requests confirmed faster and may access listings restricted to verified users only. Documents are reviewed within 2 working days and are never shared publicly.
Zero Hidden Fees for Tenants
ZamoRent never charges admin fees, processing fees, or platform fees to tenants or buyers — not now, not ever. The only money you pay is the rent and deposit the landlord advertises. ZamoRent earns from landlords through optional paid services, not from tenants.
Your Data is Private
Your exact address is never shown publicly — it is only shared with a confirmed tenant after a viewing is confirmed. Your identity documents are stored securely in a private Supabase Storage bucket and are only accessed by ZamoRent verification staff. We never sell your data to third parties.
Dispute Resolution
If something goes wrong after payment — the property does not match the listing, the landlord is unreachable, or there is damage — you can raise a dispute from your dashboard within 24 hours of key handover. ZamoRent investigates and your funds stay held during the process. Our team contacts both parties and makes a fair determination based on the evidence.
Zero Tolerance for Fraud
Any landlord found to have submitted false documents, fake property photos, or misleading listing information is permanently banned from ZamoRent. Any tenant found to have submitted false information during verification is permanently banned. We report serious fraud cases to relevant Zambian authorities.
